PINK BATH 2
Pink Bath 9 at fmnios2's photostream
PINK NOT DEAD!
* termin cokolwiek anachroniczny - w końcu wszyscy faceci z natury rzeczy są "erotomanami" niektórzy co najwyżej "in the closet" a większość również "zboczeńcami" (bo lubią sex oralny czy analny, buciki, kucyki etc.)
** to kolejna polaryzacja, która staje się coraz bardziej relatywana w dobie ekspansji technologii cyfrowej - mówiłem o tym na konferencji prasowej "Syndromu czerwonych oczu" w kontekście prezentacji The Best of The Rest w CSW.

tarapaty (trouble) by Aleksandra Waliszewska
Today I would like to point your attention on the new paintings of Aleksandra Waliszewszka. Some years ago this extremely sensitive girl let herself know to the public from "Italian" alike oils and as she have pretty much isolationist attitude on contemporary art scene probably reminds in the conscience of those who seen her previous work as "classical female painter". Waliszewska has totally different and violently fertile period in her work right now - I am stating that not because of my sympathy to this naughty girl (I know her since she was 12 y.o.) but because I am truly moved by her recent pieces. I must to admit that I was lately often hard on her accusing her of being too "Darger-ish" and not taking clear posture in reference to it but this is because when I see something that really happens, my criteria rises: the more I perceive the more I demand. At Waliszewska recent paintings you will see pretty obscure bestiarium with a lot of iconographical references to various periods of art history and only slight shadows of pink in it - more twisted sexuality and sensitive perversion than happiness in any case but definitely something worth attention. If you are interested in the invisible beat of culture and want to know more of contemporary polish painting (different than that what in spite of its unquestionable quality begins to be main stream) check her flicker site.

DARKSEA PINK by FLOSHIP
Riding in darksea part of Darksea chapter by Floship
I am on Mexican Caribbean right now and proximity of coral reef reminded me of Floship illustrations that I find on flicker almost a year ago. As I wrote in my first comment to them they bring to my mind Haeckel, O'Keeffe & Max Ernst at once still retaining its very particular character. I admire the way Gerry Wong is able to create his own universe and even that the references to Asiatic "taste" can be find in his drawings he is not at all falling for so tempting but so obvious post-Murakami (post-manga) and post - urban vinyl contemporary vector illustration style. Discovering them gave me a lot of pleasure and satisfaction specially that I find contemporary children illustration a bit stuck between Disney clones (with all its highlights and shadows) and sensitive infantile minimalism (like Maisy etc.) The new American wave of animation (Tartakovsky, McCracken) and Japanese manga are another alternative but although I am hardcore fan of both again they are more contemporary canon that surprise today. For someone who, like me, grew up on Jan Marcin Szancer* and Zbigniew Rychlicki** fantastic creations the consciousness that this is a fertile zone is obvious. Although experimental illustration in polish school went at some point to certain dead ends (I mean drawings that are more satisfactory for parents educated in modern aesthetics than for children) I am sure that this is a space where creators can let they imagination run wild - specially that they "tiny" public is totally open-minded, ready to receive fantasy and has no doubts about existence of the strangest paradises. Floship proves that there is a lot of pink potential to explore in children fantasy universe, much more than Barbie and Pony people commonly use to associate with it. I recommended him to Zuza Ziomecka who short time ago started her new project "Gaga - magazine about beautiful childhood" - I hope that this peculiar life style alike mag for parents can develop towards being show space for such phenomena :)

* Cover of "Trough Pink Glass" would be a proper image to post here but Szancer is huge starting from drawings for Tuwim's "Lokomotywa" and ending on illustrations for Jan Brzechwa "Pan Kleks" that simply cannot be replaced by anything.
** Again an illustratinon giant - for me specially important becouse of his drawings for polish editions of L. Frank Baum Oz books.

PINK by SHIROI
how happy Hopper is by Shiroi Bob model: Yuina
"Shiroi, would you like to guess how happy I am at this very moment?"
"Well, Hopper, I suppose you'd be peaking any bunny happy meter aimed at you right now if I had one."
"That's right! I've waited all year for moments like this!"
"Actually it was a little over a year since you saw her last, right, Hopper?"
"That's right, Shiroi! it was so long! How could you have deprived me so?"
"I'm not made of money, Hopper."
"You never shot Yuina in a bikini before today. You should have remembered how you saw how some other guys have, and gotten more motivation to make more money to get back here sooner."
"Hopper, the overall appeal of Japan is what motivated me to spend as much on this trip as I have."
"Especially the nice people in general, Hopper."
"Except you don't want to see that nice man at the hotel reservation desk in a bikini, Shiroi."
"That's right, Hopper. As if he would even wear one. Yuina, known as Maron today, is an absolute delight in many ways, but I was referring to the overall appeal of Japan for me."
"And of models wearing pink! And not much else!"
"Hopper, I like classy bikinis. But the model before Yuina chose not to wear one, and that was fine with me. I want them to wear what they are comfortable wearing. And Sara a few days ago wanted me to choose all her outfits. Did I choose four bikinis? No. One bikini. One lingerie. One seifuku. One yukata kimono. Traditional kimonos don't show a lot of skin, but they are gorgeous."
"Um, right, Shiroi. Yuina is gorgeous no matter what she wears, but right now, since I have no neck, I can't wait until she moves her finger I'm clinging to around so I can get an even better view!"
"You'll be able to get plenty of good views from my computer at home, Hopper."
"Sounds great, Shiroi, but right now I am so in the moment I can barely remember what a computer is."
As I am going to the beach in few hours it seams right to post a Bikini Pink tonight - plenty of it in my collection but I would rather like to use the occasion to introduce small sample of Shiroi Bob works. The mesmerizing cuteness of Asiatic girls is nothing new but Bob has a particularly authentic and pretty pink approach to it. I am following his stream since quite long time to my great delight. Shiroi is also a rare example of photographer who does like and can write so instead of trying to resume his approach to Asia and female cuteness I would better quote some of the things he states:
I am fascinated with subtlety in various fetish areas; the wide range of possibilities in keeping mystery.
My interest in modeling type photos runs mostly from the cute to the sensual. To me, "sexy" means subtlety. I am not a fan of pornography; in fact, I hesitate to even say the word in this profile.
Since I love rabbits, I take one of them, Hopper, to Japan and many other places with me. I am glad he makes people happier, so I like to photograph him with them at that time. I am attracted to many cute things, and not just of the human female variety. To me it is a good balance from life's serious things.
Remember, make bunny ears in public and you will be happy! :-)
If you are into Kawaii and Japanese Idols sweet seduction awaits you in massive amounts at Shiroi flicker Site :D

relaxed fusen play by Shiroi Bob model: Sara
"So explain to your viewers what a fusen is, Shiroi!"
"I was just about to, Hopper. A fusen or a fusendama is what a balloon or a toy balloon is called in Japan. But it literally means 'air container,' with 'fu" referring to an air sound, so it could apply to the traditional 'kamifusen' paper balls pictured on her kimono. How's that, Hopper?"

That will be probably my oldest pink action. When my neighbors from Broniewskiego Street decided to live behind bars (1990) I painted them (with the community approval) in warm pink - in fact using the same Talens colors I was painting my oils with. The door remains pink until now :) As for real Pink Prison Story check historical essay by Alexander G. image removed on authors request
I am back in Mexico - three days only in the Monster City then a week in Paradise and again back to Battlefield Warsaw – it seams that my next show is at Zachęta National Gallery December 6th – I am excited and slightly terrified – the cube is gargantuan :) Lust Looking Terror closes Thursday so the last chance to see it is exactly now. As I am a bit obsessed with snakes lately and doing massive research of the photo material over the web so some more pink herpes for pink hungry eyes: just hatched Baby Cornsnakes. Cute - aren't they?
From the other hand it reminded me that some time ago I was searching You Tube under the world "Pinky" and rather than clips with cute little fingers starring I was constantly finding videos depicting snakes devouring baby mice. Pretty nasty stuff - sort of "Legal Snuff" that I find revolting to watch but that stands for perfect example of the product of this bloody repulsion-desire dualism that most human share. The desire to rape our eyes - that means far more than pornography.
PINK SNAKES NEST
1st snake mural at My Flicker
The exhibition opens today, the murals are ready :) Their life is to be short - just one week and they are left for the darkness and mould only. Welcome to Looking Lust Terror (Zlota 1, until November 11th)
So many altars I erected already for The Wonderful Pink Oyster that it seams right time to focus on the other side of the coin. Finally it is the scepter that rules us as some king said. Basic, unavoidable dualism: desire - repulsion, temptation-fear: I would like but I am afraid - we know it all. Ferocious Form. Rampancy. Beast. Why are we more afraid of the penis than gun? Why it is easier for us to confront with cruelty than pleasure? Romance with Satanism why not? - It is part of our culture. Lucifer: Luciferian - The Light Bearer and Satanic - The Dark One. Devil. Demonization of The Sex. Sex Demon. Costerian King Spring and Spirits of The Seed in its cortège. Fertility and Rape. Procreation and Resurrection. Spermatozoids like tiny snakes. Let it whirl - it’s Life! These time something for those who long for poisoned arrow. Venomous Candies for Girls and Boys.
As much the subject of Agnieszka Zechowska exhibition as the chosen space ideal for this piece. Moldy Palace, lustfulness of the stuccos - here my snakes will slither around faster than at museum or shrine. They will live, they will putrefy. Pleasure from the very work itself - playing Michelangelo at the scale I can sustain. Here big thanks to the curator for provoking / making possible such situation and for my paint team for watchful and efficient work.
